1. Dry Clean Only
Chennur silk with hand-painted Kalamkari is delicate. Professional dry cleaning helps preserve the dyes and the natural sheen of silk.

2. Avoid Direct Sunlight
Extended exposure may fade the natural Kalamkari pigments. Store away from strong light.

3. Store with Care
Fold softly and keep in a muslin or cotton saree bag. Avoid plastic covers — silk needs to breathe.

4. Refold Occasionally
To prevent permanent creases, refold every 2–3 months, changing the fold lines.

5. Keep Away from Perfume & Deodorant
Sprays may react with natural dyes and damage silk fibres.

6. Ironing Tip
Use a low-heat silk setting and iron on the reverse side. If hand-painted areas feel textured, place a thin cotton cloth on top before ironing.
